DOUBLE CAB FEATURES
BUILT FOR WHATEVER IS ASKED
MAKE LIGHT WORK OF HEAVY LOADS
Double Cab models provide ample load capacity with 1520mm in length, 1470mm in width and 475mm in depth. Featuring inner hooks and a rear gate with an easy to use single handle, the extra reinforcement in the construction of the spacious cargo bed makes it even more durable. Couple this with impressive power and torque and you can be confident that Triton will move whatever you need it to with ease.
ROBUST DESIGN AND HANDLING
The Mitsubishi Triton is built for maximum stability and traction. Its chassis contributes to solid handling and its body is aerodynamically designed for stable highway performance. Reliable 4WD traction combines with an advanced upfront double wishbone suspension and extra reinforcement in the rear frame to keep you in touch with surface conditions and help keep you in control.
BUILT FOR POWERING UP
Triton’s J-line design enables exceptional manoeuvrability and fuel economy without compromising interior cabin or load space. The compact wheel-base delivers an outstanding turning circle of 11.8 metres making parking and negotiating tight spaces easy.
Power & Torque
Power – either you’ve got it or you don’t. And with Triton you have it in a big way. Powered by Mitsubishi’s advanced 2.4L MIVEC Turbo Diesel Engine, Triton is packed full of grunt boasting 133kW@3500rpm of power and 430Nm@2500rpm of torque.
Triton’s aerodynamic exterior design and advanced engine technologies achieve low fuel consumption and CO2 emissions of 7.2L to 7.6L per 100km* for Double Cab models, while still delivering outstanding power and performance.

Braked towing capacity
Mitsubishi Triton Double Cab 4x4 models have a 3.1 tonne braked towing capacity. With a Gross Combination Mass rating of 5.885 tonne and low kerb mass, Triton provides the perfect balance between towing capacity and vehicle payload to suit a range of towing requirements.
SUPER SELECT II 4WD
With the option of Full-time 4WD, High and Low Range 4WD with centre diff lock and selectable 2WD, the Super Select 4WD II system on the Mitsubishi Triton GLS and Exceed will give you more control in bad weather or on difficult surfaces.
ACTIVE STABILITY AND TRACTION CONTROL
Active Stability Control (ASC) intuitively recognises over-steer or under-steer and applies brake force to appropriate wheels to keep you online through corners. While Active Traction Control helps you maintain traction on the most slippery or rugged of surfaces. This system automatically controls the engine output, so driving wheels are prevented from spinning. Sensing loss of traction in an independent wheel, ATC applies braking force to that wheel and sends power and torque to other wheels with traction to keep you moving.
TRAILER STABILITY ASSIST
To prevent ‘trailer swing’ when towing at speed, Trailer Stability Assist (TSA) will control individual wheel slip to stabilise the trailer. The system detects when the trailer is starting to oscillate and automatically warns drivers behind by flashing brake lights on both the car and trailer.
RAIN SENSING WIPERS AND DUSK SENSING HEADLAMPS
Standard in the Triton Exceed Double Cab, your headlights will automatically illuminate in fading light or when you're travelling through a tunnel. The Exceed is also equipped with front wipers that activate automatically when moisture is detected on the windscreen, allowing you to keep your hands on the wheel and your focus on the road ahead.
When reverse gear is engaged, the reverse camera image appears automatically on the display screen, supplementing the driver's rear field of view.
*All Pick-Up models.
ELECTRONIC BRAKEFORCE DISTRIBUTION (EBD)
Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) works hand-in-hand with Triton’s ABS computer to assess load and distribute braking force between the front and rear wheels. When you have a load in the rear, it optimises brakeforce distribution to help you stop in a shorter distance.
